I feel that life should be a natural way. It has to be felt, taken as it comes on our way.

But this particular exercise, sometimes forcibly wants its work to be done. I was told that I would become an addict if used frequently. BUT is not true in my case - perhaps.. I am right

It applies to everybody’s life. Nothing could be an addict until and unless our mind says so. But we should not allow it to say so. We should on the other hand convince our mind the Pro and cons and help it to take the right decisions.

Any good news in this long time?

Yes, why not?

“ Sankar Narayanan got married. “ He has started the so-called “LIFE”.

A Dear Friend…

It was a great day before yesterday- the 26th April 2004. Because, my dearest collegemate, had returned from Chicago, USA. Interesting part is that his position just before 1 year was worser than worse. He had lost his dear mother. He became a responsible chap for his elder sister, old father and a younger brother.

He is a native of Mannargudi. A real simple personality, with lots of hidden hopes for future. He is not at all a blowing trumpet. A balanced personality. I have no other friends like this so far. Some try to exhibit their ideas, their nature but a person who has everything and do not cares to exhibit is definitely a surprising personality to me.

With all efforts working in a sick environment, he managed to reach a level, where he was sent for training to US. An admiring thing is that he is not from the worst industry – Software, where people claim themselves as the BEST; where in reality each of them are an ambiguous.

It was however a great day after meeting my friend, who has been the same as before.

Integrated truth / mind and Soul

Unknown, Unexpected. I just could not understand this mind.
When it thinks? When it decides? All are strange.. Be very careful…

I have a conviction and belief, that I do decide by “self” my ”self”.

Inspite of that, some times my mind and my self are constantly brawling each other at times.
But thanks to the Creator, that finally my self wins. Hope so.

I have been meeting lot of upcoming yogis who talk about Karma Yogis who keep their role models – the Maha Souls.

In reality they do not even understand that Karma Yogi / yoga literally which means lots, and lots.
Some people learn the knowledge out of Curiosity and then leave the same when the mind dominates the soul.
This shows their insecurity level, their confidence level.
Some of them deny the existence of God and subsequently are not steady with decision. That is the only wedding that Jesus of Nazareth will attend when He comes for His Bride. He will expect her to be ready for Him, prepared and waiting, clearly distinguished as His. He is not going to enter a relationship with other gods nor practice their ways. There is only "One Way" for Christians to follow; Jesus Christ, the One and Only True God, the "Word" that has come in the flesh!

-	These are the words uttered by Eddie Russell FMI a strong Catholic Christian

His Experience and the Perception

Over the years I have noticed an attitude change in people I know who have taken up this meditation. On one occasion I met a woman who used to attend my prayer group. After the usual politeness I asked why she hadn't been to the meetings, "Oh, no, that's not for me, I'm into higher things now". She informed me that she was doing the meditations. This incident could be ignored as pride-filled vanity from one individual except that I have had the same response from many people since then. When I have tried to talk to priests who do this meditation about my concerns they have patronizingly passed me off with a verbal pat on the head as someone who just doesn't understand. Consequently I have noticed certain elitism, superiority and spiritual pride in these people and it seems to be a common fruit of this spirituality.

- Eddie Russell FMI

My Views

This is the basic problem of Religious persons of this kind, which, does’nt allow anybody to think further. In his expressions we could identify only his concern of conversions.
At a place he even claims Meditation as an occult practice. And he strongly believes that Knowingly or unknowingly, people are getting converted into Hindu practices and cultures.

When it comes to spirituality, the Christian scriptures restrict the mind of the individuals claiming that researching more is a sin, which is surprising to note. Is it possible?
And if it is possible, why there are different sects and categories in the Christianity? Catholics! CSI !! Seventh Adventists and so on ?? Why so much?

First of all any religion should accept any other religion. If it does’nt do that, then it is not at all an universally acceptable religion.

More or less a Religion should be a mode that helps us to lead life more ethically with good conducts.

Here I would like to quote a Rig-veda saying, “ Noble thoughts should be accepted from wherever it comes in from.”

Happiness - A beautiful story

Happiness & Unhappiness
There were two college girl classmates who met in a park five years after they had completed their college studies. They were so happy to meet each other that they hugged each other, kissed each other and were eager to speak out all the experiences
of their last five years. One of them said - "I am so happy to see you after such a long time. I have something to tell you. I am married." The other friend knew how difficult it was for a girl like her to get married. She felt really happy and ecstatic and said - "I am very happy to hear that you are married". Immediately the 1st girl said - ""Not very happy to tell you the truth".

2nd girl - Why?

1st girl - I am married to an old man.

2nd girl - Oh! Very unhappy to hear that.

1st girl - Not very unhappy to tell you that because even though he is an old man, he is very rich.

2nd girl - Oh! Very happy to hear that.

1st girl - Not very happy to tell you that because even though he is very rich, he is a great miser.

2nd girl - So unhappy to hear that.

1st girl - Not very unhappy to tell you that because though he is a miser, he has constructed a palatial house in the richest locality of Banglaore.

2nd girl - Very happy to hear that.
1st girl - Not very happy to say that because the whole house caught fire and was reduced to ashes.

2nd girl - Very unhappy to hear that.

1st girl - Not very unhappy to say that because when the house was burning my husband also got burnt.

This is a typical example of how our happiness is. It is like Gujarati pickle. If you tasted it, you will know. A little sweet , a little sour (THODA MEETHA, THODA KHATTA). It is sandwiched between unhappiness. None of us wants this type of happiness. We want happiness which cannot be snatched away by anything in any situation. Infinite, eternal happiness is what we are seeking.
The fundamental desire is :
a) THE DESIRE TO LIVE A DAY MORE. - is called SAT.
b) THE DESIRE TO KNOW. - is called CHIT.
c) THE DESIRE TO BE HAPPY. - is called ANANDA.
Therefore the fundamental desire is a desire for SAT, CHIT, and ANANDA.

A student goes to Mulla Nazaruddin, a Sufi master, with a bundle of dresses, surrenders to him and says - O' divine master, I want peace, I want happiness. The master looked at him. He has left his house with only this bundle with him. Mulla slowly gets up snatches the bundle of dresses and starts running. The student is surprised. "I came in search of happiness and the master snatches my dresses and run away." The perplexed student tells himself, "Let me at least get my dresses back" and charges after him.
Mulla knows all the lanes of the town very well. He just appears and disappears and the student is very unhappy at the loss of his dresses. He was such unhappy. By coming to him, he has become more unhappy. He keeps running behind Mulla. Mulla goes all round, comes back to his original spot, keeps the bundle aside and innocently sits down.

The student comes running to him. Seeing this dangerous fellow, first thing he does is to snatch his dresses. He is so happy that he has his dresses back.

Mulla says - HERE IS HAPPINESS.
Please see, the student was unhappy when he came to Mulla. Mulla just snatched the bundle and returned it back to him. The student was happy that he had got back his dress. So what was the cause of happiness?

Logically it appears his happiness is because of the dress. But then, this bundle was with him even before it was snatched away by the master. Therefore where did the happiness come from, the dresses or from somewhere else?

Happiness has come from within and it is not because of the dresses. This is exactly how we feel in our life - that this object or that has given us happiness.

Happiness - A beautiful story

Happiness & Unhappiness
There were two college girl classmates who met in a park five years after they had completed their college studies.

After a very long time it was an argument with one of my close friend. And it was the topic, which I never wanted to argue in my life. The reason behind the argument which I perceived was misunderstanding and wrong interpretations of the topics in which both of us were just starters. The outcome of the argument was as usual “nothing” but just waste of energy.

The conclusive discussion was again a pity - whether “ God “ is available or not? The most unfortunate was that my dear friend was arguing the topic even without observing experiences. To broadly understand we presume that there are two ways of God realizations. Bhakthi Margam and Gnanamargam. The option lies with the individuals in opting the margam. Ancient Rishis and saints devised both these methods just to keep human beings onto the humanitarian grounds. But please understand that no rishis or saints had denied the existence of the “God”.

We should understand that nothing is concrete and acceptable. That is what is “rahasya” or"Maya".
We should understand certain suthradharams. We have heard and seen that even enlightened souls (who had reached even above merits and demerits / above detachment and attachments) had never accepted or acknowledged that they are “God’s”. We should understand that what we become after getting enlightened is “Jeevan Mukthi” . No one had said that we become God. Even Jesus proclaims himself as the son of the God. Please do not understand this in literal terms.

To be broad “God is the creator + Destroyer = Paramathma “. Please note that this is not my expression. It has been observed and interpreted by Anubhavasalis (experienced souls) in the Vedas. No human does this activity. Please do not get into self intrepretations in this context.

Concludingly we may observe two aspects

a)	Only spiritually experienced persons can draw lines between Jeevathmas and Paramatmas and as rightly said that by the time they reach the stage they get close to the Paramathma and the secret remains unrevealed.
b)	God is existing – We may consider God in many forms – as the nature, as the circumstances, Shiva, Vishnu, Allah etc. Rama, Anjaneya, Jesus, Raghavendra are bhakthas. Or in otherwords the normal unrealized human finds God in their forms. Rama was a bhaktha of Lord Shiva, Anjaneya was a bhaktha of Lord Rama, Raghavendra was a bhaktha of Lord Krishna, Ramakrishna was a bhaktha of Devi Kali and so on. They all saw God in different forms. But the God is beyond all these.

Again all these are just to share. Observe and understand. These are not the topics to argue. We should not become persons to argue on the existence of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Jesus or Allah. After all that this is not our concern now.

Let us all stick to the saying of a experienced person who say" Do not waste your time on researching or concluding your methodologies on God" just observe it. These same words are also told in the bhagavat Gita.

So let us start observing, experiencing rather than concluding.

Superstitious!!

Nowadays, it is surprising to note that it has become very fashionable to argue with this above topic. It should be understood that practical translation of this above said word is just a simple “belief”.

Let us observe ourselves. We say, “I believe in God”. Have we ever seen GOD? We love our mother, have we ever seen love. We say we will achieve even if we know that there might be lot of obstructions in completion of the work. Don’t we??

Similarly superstitious arises due to the continuity of experiences. One could have faced the outcomes, and one may not. The person who had faced these outcomes believes it. The person, who had not or yet to face it, calls it superstitious.

To my knowledge culture itself is superstitious. Don’t we follow it ? Don’t we commence a new business or do some new starts on an auspicious day? Then why is this confusion?

To be more realistic, whether we believe or not, we have only two categories of people around us. One,who believes or who is superstitious and the other one who pretends not to believe or not to be superstitious. Please note that in both the case they are believers.

Here I thought of adding one more sentences extracted from Hindu Philosophy, which says “you be a Muslim or a Christian, but still you are a Hindu.”

Now we have two options:

Either we believe it or pretend not to believe it.

In both the case we are believers. Now the option is (y)ours.

A New Experience

It was 18th August 2003, morning 4 AM. I got up fast, took bath and left to the Airport. It was so special as it was my first Flight experience. I was on the way to attend an official meeting.
The company had booked to and fro air ticket in Air Sahara. The return was on 21st August 2003.

I rushed to the Airport, as the departure time was not too far. Somehow I completed the necessary formalities and boarded onto the flight.

Everything right from reaching the Airport till the necessary formalities was an experience but the experience was terrific. I requested for a window seat and was obliged.

Every one should experience this atleast once in their lifetime.

“I am grateful to God.” Once again.

Tirumala - The dharshan

It was yet another beautiful and pleasant experience at Tirumala on 4th August 2003. The climate was cool and calm. I would proclaim by saying that it should be a gift land for Crazy scenic lovers of Nature. Due to our closest relative’s assistance, we booked two double rooms for ten of us for the dharshan on Monday (4th August). Though the dharshan was scheduled at 1 Pm, we had no hurry as we had reached tirumala the previous day (3rd August) itself.

We had our booking for “Unjal Seva”. By the Gods grace, we had a very comfortable dharshan. The most exciting thing is that, if we buy this ticket, we get a chance to dharshan Lord, twice. (I.e. Before the Unjal Seva and after Unjal Seva.)

I purchased yet another single ticket for next day early morning (on 5th August) for “archana ananthra dharshan”. Believe me “it was just a peep in luck”. All we have to do is just to give your thumb impression at the scan counter available near the ticket counter. And Since it was early morning, the crowd seemed also to be very less. I was fortunate enough that the dharshan was just a few centimeters away from Lord Venkatachalaphy. I could not believe my eyes. Very rarely we get chances of this sort and I was lucky enough for the same.

“Thanks to GOD”

Things went on well. We reached home back on 5th of August late in the afternoon.

But believe me “ Tirumala Venky is Tirumala Venky”. In Tamil we say “Enakkunu Oru Idhu Irukku” (something is exclusive with me) and that’s Lord Venkatachalapathy. I have no more words to share. The hearing aids were gifted absolutely free of cost on behalf of my company. I was given an opportunity by my company to dispense the hg aids to these childrens. Ofcourse "Thanks to God"

After dispensing the hearing aids, the children expressed confidence and heartfelt happiness all around, and it seemed that for the first time they had realized, listened, and understood situations like any other ordinary children’s do.

I felt that it was a situation, where we plan to buy something (which we are really in need and which we cannot live without) as though we know that it is highly unaffordable, but finally we get it surprisingly at absolutely free of cost as “gifts”, which we had never even thought of.

I had been on tour last week to North Arcot district. I was surprised and worried to find that some students were writing their exams under the hot sun in a corporation school. I happened to visit one of my friends place “Anganathavalasi”, near Tirupattur. He had become a responsible farmer by profession. I was astonished to learn the life of farmers. Till date I was hearing these problems only on TV’s and Newspapers. But when he took me to his place in the interiors where I could examine the real problems of the farmers, I was taken aback. It was pity to note that profits or even returns depended only on the advent of rains. They are solely dependent on nature.
He is a BSc graduate from a well-known Christian college. But for family reasons he had to forcibly take up the job in the fields. He is the only son of a 75-year-old father.
I was so much in tears when he said, “ I was unable to contact you for so many days because I did not even had 10 rupees to spend on telephones”.
I personally observed that he was not visited even by his near relatives and friends frequently. But he felt happy on my visit.
I was also astonished to note that his father, an experienced Farmer, who had never been or exposed to city life’s or medias, discussed various political issues and spiritual matters fluently. He was a strict admirer of Thiruvalluvar. But he was against warriar swamigal, as he never liked saints or spiritual leaders getting into advertisements.

Finally when I reached the Railway station with the help of my schoolmate Jagannathan, we were recollecting all those school days and discussed the same.
It was a good experience.

Abdul Kalam – the President of India

I was highly influenced on the simple attitude and the inspiring talk during his visit to Anna University, Chennai. The communicating style besides exceptional was educative, motivating and influencing.

His experience was very much realistic, “no exaggeration like some politicians and Business persons do”. I would rather say a “Positive and honest approach to life”.

It was highly emotional while watching a private broadcast News Channel, where the Jammu & Kashmir’ians asserted:

“ We are overwhelmed by the daring Visit of the President” as Mr.Kalam is the first President who had taken so much of interest to visit.

And please note that he never spoke politics there and even then when a small boy questioned, he smiled and replied

“You plan your future, your family, leave the political matters with the politicians.”
(Any other political leaders would have hugged, appreciated the boy for such a question. Isn’t it?)

“Om Purnamadah Purnamidam Purnat Purnamudachyate
Purnasya Purnamadaya Purnamevavas isyate”

How is the above stanza? I went thru the above stanza and found it to be a interesting verse for spiritual lovers…so I thought of sharing this with you all…..

It says …..
Completeness is that, Completeness is this
From completeness, Completeness comes forth,
Completeness from completeness taken away
Completeness to completeness added
Completeness alone remains….

Purnamadah: “That” is Whole
Purnamidam: “This” is Whole
Purnat: From Completeness
Purnamudachayate: Completeness comes forth
Purnasya Purnamadaya: taking away completeness from complete and adding complete to completeness
Purnamevavas isyate: Completeness alone remains.

Note: Readers will be aware of the so-called Upanishads. The above verse is extracted from I savasyopanishad, the text traditionally studied first, by a new student.

Gateway into this Blog(ck)

Self-Introduction may not be necessary, as I am not known to my bad friends. Thanks to Sankar Narayanan, the man behind this ambiguous person and for formality sake I thank him once again for introducing me onto a platform like this, which may become a gateway to help me to release all my day to day / weekly stress. He..he..he……….

Now?? How to start with? Or have I already started?
I presume that most of my upcoming topics, though may be thoughts (My) of Individuality, might flavour and favour philosophy and sometimes spirituality.

Let me observe that I was introduced by somebody onto this blogger system, which I never knew or never thought of such things before. But please note that the operational part of this system is left completely at my own responsibility.(I decide my fate). People judge this system by analyzing the scope of individual topics and hidden attitudes opened or exposed through this platform. But this system might exist for sometime till a new system opens up with much more appeals then forcibly we upgrade onto a new one.
Now after I start posting my views on to this system, my mistakes might also be pointed out without screening, which might help me to reach to a kind of understanding attitude from where our thinking system gets purified (“Purified” here refers more matured than before”).

I correlate all these above with life.
Do You? or if you do not, please let me know your reply at bvdanush@rediffmail.com
